The best schools in March

There are 9 schools in March listed on FindGreatSchools: 7 primary, 1 secondary and 1 special. Each listing links to a full profile with Ofsted information, results and demographics where published.

Under our composite score, Lionel Walden Primary School is the highest-ranked primary school and Neale-Wade Academy is the highest-ranked secondary school in March. The score blends Ofsted inspection, attainment, progress and engagement into one A to F grade, weighted by data completeness. Independent and special schools are listed by Ofsted rating rather than scored.

Because they are measured on different things: primary schools on Key Stage 2 SATs, secondary schools on GCSE results and Progress 8. A grade A primary and a grade A secondary are not the same measurement, so we never rank them against each other. Each phase has its own full ranking for March, linked from its section above.
