How many schools are there in Boston?

There are 36 schools in Boston listed on FindGreatSchools: 25 primary, 6 secondary and 5 special. Each listing links to a full profile with Ofsted information, results and demographics where published.

Which are the top-rated schools in Boston?

Under our composite score, Kirton Primary School is the highest-ranked primary school and Boston High School is the highest-ranked secondary school in Boston. The score blends Ofsted inspection, attainment, progress and engagement into one A to F grade, weighted by data completeness. Independent and special schools are listed by Ofsted rating rather than scored.

Why are primary and secondary schools ranked separately?

Because they are measured on different things: primary schools on Key Stage 2 SATs, secondary schools on GCSE results and Progress 8. A grade A primary and a grade A secondary are not the same measurement, so we never rank them against each other. Each phase has its own full ranking for Boston, linked from its section above.
